AMURE, in collaboration with AMUSE and AGSEM, invites you to a special event which will take place at McGill on November 6.
Student worker unions in Québec find themselves in a unique situation: precarious jobs, a complex balance between “student” and “worker”, working conditions that are less than ideal, but with a young and active membership. This situation presents challenges as well as opportunities.
We invite all union activists from student worker unions in Québec to a day of reflection, discussion and exchange. Themes to be discussed include collective bargaining in Québec universities, media strategies, how to mobilize student workers, and q democracy.
Discussions will begin at 10am. We strongly encourage all participants to share their experiences and ideas. Breakfast and lunch will be provided!
